It's a funny joke, but the arrays of antenna could certainly pull off polyphonic and X/Y/Z operation, vs two X operations!

Plus I love that one "scientist" has the magnification goggles on in iconoclastic dork fashion.

There actually is a way to play six pitches and amplitudes at the same time. It's not with a theremin, but there is a motion controller that senses absolute position and rotation, so two controllers can do what she was "demonstrating" but programmable with MIDI or OSC and a DAW.

Read more about the Razer Hydra in the threads in these forums or Sixense's forums. It's really exciting what people are and will be able to do with musical interfaces.
