CZ-101 Lights up but no sound.. |
|
|
Hello,
I got a CZ-101 for very cheap at a garage sale and of course it doesn't work.
It looks as if someone attempted some sort of power mod since the battery line
is clipped and there is an added wire leading out of the case it wasn't soldered to anything however. I've plugged it in using the appropriate power supply, it lights up with some lights blinking and some solid
the screen just has two black bars along the top with no information. Does
anyone have a good idea on where to start with this? It seems partially hopeful..
Thanks so much for reading,
Eric |

Has someone tried to circuit bend it? I tried to circuit bend a Zoom 505, and it died pretty quickly. All the lights and display just displayed all wrong.
You may just have a brick on your hands I'm afraid. _________________ ACHTUNG!

I think someone did try to circuit bend it. It looks like they were trying to do
some power mod to it which ive heard about but not been able to find anything online of what it actually IS so that I can know what they've fried. So it makes a small click sound when I turn it on and then a pop sound when I turn it off. I can hear it clearly and that's not with it plugged in to a speaker. Could that be a capacitor? Does this mean its a bad one?
Another very peculiar symptom is that the screen stays on when the power switch is turned off.. Any thoughts on this?
Long shot,
