I posted the following question on Muff Wiggler, and it was suggested I ask here.

My CGS01, Suboscillator/Harmonic sequencer works very well at processing cv signals - very wide range, which actually needs further processing to make it more manageable.

However, when using audio signals or audio and lfo as recommended by Ken I can only use a very low range, one or two octaves below middle c max.

I have made a 12 volt version, and perhpas this may account for the low range...? If I turn the oscs up beyond half way, I get no sound at all, but it works well lower down.

1. It was suggested I reduce the 47k input resistors to 22k to give greater range, but another Wiggler thought this may interfere with the CV processing function, which is excellent.

Any advice please?

I don't have any real practical advice as I haven't built mine yet, except that if you find that reducing the 47k input resistors to 22k works for audio but not CV, you could always use a switch to go between the two. If there's no room on your panel for a swithc, you could replace one of the pots with a push/pull pot and use the switch portion for selecting between audio and CV.

Interested to see what others have to say 'cause I'm pretty stoked about this module.

I replaced the resistors as suggested, much better range on audio inputs, but has seemed to make a difference to the cv processing, although I cant tell exactly what yet!!

I am going to put a push pull pot in, because I have no more room for a switch, and be able to switch between the resistors for CV or audio processing.

Many thanks for the suggestion emdot!

thumb up Careful, though, push/pull pots are habit forming Mr. Green
