Here's some early recordings, resurrected from cassette recordings that were made in the 80s. At that time I was either still in university (WPI, Worcester MA) or just out, so these were made in Worcester or Colchester Vermont, all in the 1980s.

This one was done just after Hurricane Gloria came through in September 1985. I moved out of Worcester and up to Vermont in August 1985. All I had with me was my polysix, JX-3P, an annoying TR-727 and a Fostex 4-track.

I met a girl at a party back in May of 1983. We spent 3 whirlwind weeks before she moved away. I visited her in Ohio over the summer of 1983, and we had a magical time on the shore of Lake Erie. I visited her once again in the fall and didn't see her again for 2 years. We have been married for 25 years now.

This was done with a polysix, ms-20 and an Effectron.

By 1986 I was married and living in Vermont. This track was done in my living room, using my Kawai electric grand, JX-3P, and that awful TR-727.

This one was an interesting production. I didn't have a multitrack recorder yet but I had two reel-to-reel decks. So I bounced tracks back and forth adding as I went. This used the Polysix a lot (didn't have the JX-3P yet) and MS-20 and an Effectron.

I was looking for this old recording. Just found it.

It's from June 1990. It was done using Tunesmith, plus my piano playing, drum programming and a guitar player named Dave Nerbak, whose band I was in at the time. Pretty sure Jeff Cooper helped out on this too.

Just heard Opus 59 on the electro-music stream.

Very beautiful...

Thanks, Howard. Smile I've always loved the original of this more than the remix, they are so different.
