I streamed this to show Vladosh and I recorded it as I did it. I figured I would post it for anyone who is still on the fence about the practicality of this synth. Also - it is not a bad little drone-like tune.

The filters I added are still on breadboard so there was some crackling when turning the pots.

Mods added:

MIDI-IF - control the monotron via midi. I modded it so each gate, pitch and cutoff can be toggled to external CV and also have a switch to renable the ribbon.

Highpass filter - Accidental find while trying to amplify with an LM324. Has a control for cutoff and another for phase shifting the highpassed sound.

Feedback loop - passed through a germanium diode so it doesn't sound like plain old feedback. Added a pot to control the level.

I think that is all I am doing with this, so now to work on the case...

Oh - btw - no effects or anything added to the sound. It is just a live recording direct from the output of the monotron.

My Monotron is still 'stock', haven't taken on any mods. Just got the Monotribe for xmas as well, I've been pretty fond of the little small form-factor Korg instruments...

Sounds great!

Have taken this recording and made some patches in Ableton. Will post them on the forum soon.
