Great idea Les. It is like DDR meets guitar hero. Good luck with the project and with your weight loss goals. You can do it! _________________ JacobWatters.com |

Les, sorry to hear about you health problems. It seems like you are in the right place. I hope they get you up and exercising. Your idea about the motion based performance art setup, iLes, sounds like a very good one to me.
I use a thing called Bodyblade. It is not expensive. It works well for me. Easy to use and to adjust to my particular strengths and weaknesses. It's ridiculed a lot, but I swear by it. YMMV

ty friends, and guess what else? I've decided to make another album of songs. the songs will be titled according to my weight at the time of their creation. For example, today's song which is half done will be called 580. The songs will be entirely composed of iLes music although i will probably morph it and edit it and stuff in Audacity. Or that's the plan for now anyway.
Keep on Truckin'

Definitely, you have to find the way that works for you and it's a lot easier to keep doing it if you can make it fun _________________ Jez

Best of luck Les. I know next to nothing about Chuck, but maybe you could program it so that the x axis controls a sequencer somehow forward when moving to the right and in reverse when to the left, or a different pattern to the left. Y axis could change the pitch of whatever type of sound to play over top of the sequencer. Come to think of it, I will have to check that out with the TC-11 app for the iPad.
My idea for this stems from the Tai Chi reference you made in your video. As you develop your set up and routine, you might find some interesting rythyms that are inspired from how you move while playing. |

Jez: This concept has the potential to save a lot of people's lives, but first I have to save my own life with it - and so far it's working.
Banjo: That's one of the nice things about this project, there seems to be an unlimited variety of musical control setups that are possible, all interesting for different reasons. Ultimately it will be a collection of these programs, not one master program. Right now I'm working on the flute program, which is coming along well.
