Hello audio deviants!

I have an idea for a new project, and I was hoping for a teensy bit of help... Very Happy

If you have the time, this is what I would like you to do:

Please record yourself saying the german word: "Kugelschreiber" - meaning ballpoint pen - and post the wav in this thread. If you speak german, please use your best german accent, if you do not speak german - use your own accent (no pseudo-John Cleese goose-stepping, please Laughing )...

I deliberately did not attempt a phoenetic spelling of the word, because I think it would be interesting to have some voices (who clearly do not speak german) attempting to say the word. So PLEASE, if you don't speak german, record yourself attempting to say "kugelschreiber"...

If you want to say the word a number of ways (ie inflection, tempo, pitch changes etc), please do! Also any bitrate is just fine...

Of course, whatever 'product' emerges out of this project - electro-music.com [tm] would be the first to hear it!

Looking forward to any replies...

LoKi

Here are my utterances...

In the interest of saving disk space on our server, would you consider taking mp3 files? Please

BTW, this is a great idea. We need to do more of these collaborative music things. Thanks for breaking the ice and having the courage to put up with weisenheimers who think it's silly. thumb up

These are fantastic! Thanks guys! Very Happy

Great quality and very usable, all...
Please keep them coming, if anyone else wants to contribute (or if you can post any more deviations..) - my enthousiasm for this project is growing enormously thanks to your input.

::watch this space::

PS: MP3s are fine, unless you spend a lott of time/effort on your recording, in which case it may be a waste?

----------------------------------------------------------------------

EDIT:
Seraph; do you have any more cool text-to-speech voices you could use and post?

----------------------------------------------------------------------

EDIT2:
In the interests of saving electro-music.com [tm] discspace - I have downloaded all attached files before this post, so you can delete them
(unless you wish to preserve them for historical accuracy Rolling Eyes )

Hello again! Very Happy

It's been amazing fun working on this project (and will be for some time to come Shocked Confused Laughing )... my girlfriend and I have cried tears of laughter (and some of frustration) the last few days as "kugelschreiber" echos through our (and our neighbours) apartment! Laughing

Anyway, here is a first render for you guys to listen to. It's far from finished - new stuff will be added, some stuff will be removed, all of it will get a lick of varnish etc... but I am open to any kind of comments, as ever.

BTW: I consider this a little sidestep into the realms of electro-pop...what do you think?
