I revisited the Moog Voyager wave shaping control. My first attempt used a pair of ShpB’s per VCO, cross fading between the saw and square in the middle.
My redesign omits the square through pulse section, which is just familiar PWM, and concentrates on the Triangle > Saw > Square shaping. Saw to square is accomplished by adding a variable amount of Saw x 28 and passing through a clipper. The leading edge is not quite vertical but close enough.
To fit the whole thing in under 50% for increased polyphony, VCO2 and 3 are just OscBs. The dual filter routing is much simplified in that one switch changes from serial to parallel, but its up to you what slope and type are selected on the second filter.
Have allowed for Hard Sync and Xmod VCO1 > VCO2.
Variation 7 is a simple patch with VCO1 shape control morphed to the wheel, so you can best hear the effect. Shape can be modulated by filter envelope and/or LFO.
Of cause, nothing will replace the original G2 Voyager patch, especially when played on a low serial number G2.
Being polyphonic, this ones quite good for pads.
Eight variations, no knob assignments yet sorry.
