Hey all, first post here.

I have a simple Chuck script which is just a relatively simple two-oscillator synth.

In PureData there is a way to take an overdriven signal, and run the amplitude of each sample through a mathematical function such as cos or tanh to get squishy sounds or as a makeshift distortion.

Is this possible with Chuck?

I posted too soon. It is definitely possible, and this thread lists several compelling waveshaping algorithms for distortion. http://electro-music.com/forum/topic-19287.html
