So, i have a multi instrument set for the a6 with correct names installed and its set to to control'alesis' logic seems to be selecting patches from the synth and hopefully they are the right ones, the lights change on the andromeda but the display stays the same, id like to know the patches/banks are the ones im selecting like all my other synths do supernova/proteus etc...what global info do i need to set on the A6?..could someone send me some pics or something of a clean setting of the soft knobs etc?..
also whats the score with the alesis what mode does it have to be in to select the right programmes?..does it need to be a certain mode?, like prog on most synths or performance etc,,,many thanks from a noob. Embarassed

Honey didn't work, so you're trying vinegar?

Or in other words, just like me ... "sorry, but I really don't know" Wink

Hope someone knowledgeable will stand up Laroque, it is a bit quiet here indeed ... and a belated welcome

Heehee, I should have also said that I don't know. Wink I have an A6, but I'm not really sure what it is that you're trying to do...

Doug

..this is really helping,,i like the tried honey vinegar thing, i might have to use that...but this is really not getting me anywhere,,logic has midi multi instruments in the nviroment wich control out board synths, i have the andromeda and the multi loaded, i just can get it to change patches via the DAW when its in multi timbral mix mode,,there is something i need to change somewhere ,,,thought someone on this might know,,,,,,,,'waits' Very Happy

ROFL, I'm such a hardware guy, I wasn't thinking that "logic" was the DAW program...!!! (Well either that or I'm just plain old.)

I've never tried to use my A6 with any software control, I have always used it standalone. I suppose I could try plugging it into my PC with Sonar and see what happens...

Regards,
Doug

Are you trying to get Logic to change patches within the Multi?
If that's the case I'm have no idea if that's even possible. You'd need to read the manual for both.

OTOH getting it to switch between different multiples should be just the same as changing between normal patches. - If you record MIDI in Logic and change patch on the A6 Logic will record it as MIDI. Play it back and the A6 will change as required.

thats exactly what i am trying to do, i have done it succesfully with every synth ive owned and im sure its possible with the a6, im aware it has to be on multi timbral mix mode, got that far and the patches change for each channel, but then stop after afew and remain on the same sound,,,
