Really nice stuff, SSE!

Would it be rude to ask what equipment you use? I really dig the sounds... (then I could apply my lack of style to the same sounds and get really dissappointed, haha)

Thanks for the positive feedback from all of you guys Very Happy
hey, im just making music that im listening to myself Smile

to answer diskontexts question, I mainly use FruityLoops as the
sequencer, and parts are made in SkaleTracker , mainly heavy and complex drumloops, because these are almost impossible to have
under control in fruityloops as that sequencer are mostly made for
making techno music with a classic 4/8 beat.

almost all music I make are made with a new approach,
I dont really have a sheet for making the tracks except
for that there are one beat i really almost use,
the "X--X--X-X--X--X-" bassdrum Very Happy i cant get rid of that one Razz

if there are any specific sound or part of a track you wonder
how i made it, just ask, i would be glad to share "some" of the
secrets, but not all ofcourse Razz

my personal favorite from these releases would be "Future Rights"
but thats coz I really love technoish-haradcore ;D
some of my friends does not like it at all , so I guess its just a matter
of taste Razz

Haha,

thanks for the answer. I guess I'll have to go back to the trackers for some sounds then... it really is the best way to make those retriggering hard beats. Most other software won't allow it.

The energy and attention to detail in your tracks are great, that's more important!

out is "Elektro Outkast Break",

This is sound I like Very Happy and some freaking breakbeats to =D=D=D
you seem to have similiar taste to the kind of music as I have,
maybe someday in the future we could do a laboration together Very Happy

How? I dont freaking know, just come up with an idea Very Happy

Now onto "banging softly" which i hear starts of with disted
bongos Very HappyVery HappyVery HappyVery Happy

Diskontext, you know that disted bassdrum in "Banging Softly"
which gradually becomes disted (some kind of sweep)
a track of that kind has been on the sketchingboard for about 3 years,
but ive never suceeded in making that sound in fruityloops ;D
ahhahahahahahahaahha.....

Static:

I use Fruity Loops for all of my sequencing. I have recently purchased FL Studio 5 Producer Edition and its pretty damn good.

If you create your beats using the piano roll you can come up with some really good stuff. Also the beat slicer it has is much like ReCycle, allowing you to REALLY controll the drum sounds.

I do know what you mean about creating basic 4/8 techno beats with it though.

Another thing you can do is open a pattern, clik the record button.. open the kick first, put your response at around 40 milliseconds and do it by hand. Then go in a touch it up since there was a little delay. go over it with the snare or other sounds.. and you have yourself a complex beat.

Ive been using FL for about 6 years now and have figured it out its all how you use whats available.

By the way, I really like your stuff SSE.

Hahaha, forgiven!

Thanks for the compliments, they are twice as important coming from you, seeing as I *really* like your style as well!
Outkast Elektro Break was done completely in Live, btw. No hardware involved.

The distortion on the bongo's and 808-BDs in Banging Softly is done by a (very simple) Reaktor-patch featuring a "maximizing clipper", if that makes any sense, modulated by a LFO.

I'd love to collaborate on some stuff with you, but I really don't have a clue as to how that should work, haha. Swapping samples doesn't seem to do the trick, and we're not big-time into MIDI-composing.

-diskonext

PS. btw I'm in the process of putting a new song online that I just finished (ahem, I played a live set with it here in my studio), check it out... (edit: right here)

Maybe you have all noticed that im not a none-stop net connection Very Happy
but sometimes im stumbling out on the net anyway.
Right now im working on some cute productions, and maybe
I might even considering to make a CD release for those as they
sound pretty much the way I want my music to sound. Razz

one of the newest tunes is a complex hardcore tune in 7/8 that turned
out to be very cool after some tweaking. Very HappyVery HappyVery Happy

if I decide to make a cd release of all these new hardcore tunes
they are to be expected very hard and complex, and not for the average
joe listening to Eurodisco. just a warning Razz
