Ok good, Just checking it went out ok.

Lets see what they say.....

My guess is its some resource leak in their audio/firewire code on the pacarana.

There are multiple issues I think, with a USB interface I run in trouble too, just seems to last a bit longer overall ... but there is some random component too, and my gut feeling is that OSC is not handled correctly either.

An interesting test may be to disable all audio channels apart from two and see if it lasts longer on the Konnekt.

Was the USB interface a two channel one?

Yes it was 2 ch, still is Wink

Interesting way to look at it ... I'll reconnect the t.c. again this evening ... how would i disable channels on it? In kyma, or would i need re-install its driver?

I don't really want to use the USB one - it's my zoom h2 thingie and want to take that one with me for when I run into interesting sounds to sample.

I just tried it in Kyma DSP Status->Configure

I turned all input channels off and all outputs apart from 1&2 off, The I/O % on the front panel just seems the same evern after a restart.

Might be worth a punt though.

Ok restarted with tc connected and nothing else changed. Turned all inputs off, and kept two outputs enabled.

4 minutes .. counting.

Previous setup had run for about 140 hours ... not a week ... what I did see however that one DSP was running at 43% and I/O was running at about 20%.

I/O is now 94% .. 99% and DSP 4 is at 37%, the others at 1%.

Wow that I/O is high!

Mine with all channels going varied wildly between 20-77%.

My DSP 4 was always at 44%.

What I/O delay have you got it going at, mine is at 14ms.

....

Just changed I/O dalay to 4.5ms and I get a lower I/O %, seems to stick pretty solidly at 26% with the odd leap up to 75%.

I wonder what that figure signifies!

<bang>

2 hours 48 minutes and 57 seconds

Pacarana is not responding, Unhandled Firewire bus reset or Firewire error (22)

lemme reload ... cursor turns into watch ... please turn on or connect connect your Kyma signal processor ... ok ... pacarana still shows 37% for DSP 4 I/O 36% now ... ok .. pull firewire cables ... put them back ... hit ok again ... watch ok .. its back it seems ... saving debug logs ... I/O back to 46 ... 88% DSPs all at 1% .. staring patch again ... and it runs ...

ok, sent out the deb ug log.

Well my idea about the audio channels was a no go then.

Its interesting that it restarts the same as mine if you pull the cables.

I wonder if your log will have the "logical unit reset" like mine did....

The symbolic sound folks found an issue and made a fix for that ... the current patch has been running now for 65 hours with the t.c. electronic ... this is looking good!

Going to let it run a bit more and then will plug in some OSC stuff again.

To have some OSC again I've plugged the ethernet cable in after 116 hours or so without crashing ... been stable for 12 hours now in that new situation, and counting.

Thank you very much Andy for stepping in, it was your crash report that pointed to the bug fix Smile

Looks like solved to me Cool

(knocking wood, we need a knock on wood emotismile thingie)
