It's true, that the first versions where DOS based (years ago, used for the Ensoniq Transwave Sampler), but this is a now a true WIN32 Application.

Indeed "Audio-Term" is primarily written for Terratec Komplexer, but you can do much more with it.

There are three sections at the moment:

1. KTERM: You can build wavetables from sine waves or by resynthesizing audio files. These files can be saved as Komplexer Wavetable, as wave audio (for Wusikstation, Reaktor, VAZ Synths... evry sampler with loop position modulation should work) or as *.BWC file.

These *.BWC files can be imported into the "Blofeld Wavetable Creator" software as normal audio file (import wave -> view set to "all files"). Although Blofeld works completely different than Komplexer, the results should be useful for Blofeld owners.

There are many editing possibilities like formant filter, drawable harmonics/envelopes , interpolation, smoothing, reordering... you even can build new tables from existing ones. KTERM reads all of the existing Komplexer Wavetable files, which can be found here:

2. SLOOP: This is a function similar to the "Synthesize Loop" command in the old Ensoniq samplers, but with much more options. You can use it to build a perfect looped sound, even from a kick drum or a crash cymbal. It's also possible to 'stereofy' mono loops without phase cancellation. I often use it to build drones and atmospheres.

3. XMRPH: This is a cross synthesis function, which multiplies the spectra of two sounds.

SLOOP and XMRPH are demonstrated here:

A short (stolen Wink ) sample ist looped, stereofied and multiplied with a drumloop.

Another example from one of my tracks (time code araound 6:00 - 6:44):

The ending of the first track is 'frozen' with SLOOP and later multiplied with the choir loop from the interlude by using XMRPH).

I don't know if someone find it useful, I build it for my personal sound design purposes and I'm not a professional programmer. So sorry if it's not a "state of the art" tool.
