Hi, eike.
Here's my part of it--"the vocals" (as far as I remember): one day, on my port, I was testing a softsynth called z3ta which came with SONAR. Z3ta can also be used as an FX processor. SONAR also came with convolution reverb software called Perfect Space. From what I read, it is a non-full featured version of Pristine Space from Voxengo.
PHOBoS recorded my test and then used it to come up with what I think is a really nice track. (I'll let him describe what he did.)

thank you, steve and phobos, for taking the time to explain.
steve, i do not own z3ta but i use u-he's zebra softsynth which comes with a modular fx plugin zebrify. i find that voices really contrast electronic sounds well.
phobos, did you use loops/material you had or did you compose the different parts which you then arranged using acid music studio?
i ask not because i want to copy but to learn how you made such a well-fitting accompaniment. _________________ Make a joyful noise!

I'm flattered
for this track I just used a selection of loops/samples which mostly came from sample packs (sometimes altered by
adding some fx, changing pitch, speed, some equalizing) the distorted sound you hear in the last part is a
'frosty the snowman' music box: slowed down, reversed and with distortion and delay added .
Sometimes I just use my recorded material often a combination of both.
nb. for the AcidTrasH track BugSquatcH I recorded some custom sounds. _________________ "My perf, it's full of holes!"
