Hello all,

This is my first post and unfortunately searching through the forum has failed to help me solve my problems so i have had to post a request for help as a debut!

I have a micro modular and a laptop running windows 7. The laptop runs the modular editor just fine. I have both an E-MU Xmidi 2x2 and a cake walk UM-2G to interface the pc to the micro.

When try and setup the midi in the editor i get....looking.....still looking from the setup dialog box and no further progress other than the occasional flashing LED on the interfaces. Midi cables are all fine. I hope i am doing something utterly stupid but any advice on how to get everything setup and communicating with each other so i can start editing patches would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks very much!
Toby

welcome Toby.

Did you try compatibility mode? Got recent drivers for the MIDI interface? maybe your DAW claims the MIDI port for itself?

Using edirol um3-ex here btw under vista, works fine.
