Help! I'm new at making electronic music and and I'm not sure of my genre or of any artists with tastes similar to mine Question Specifically speaking, I like to have synth solos in my pieces, but the music itself isn't like the key-tar heavy songs of the 1970's and 1980's. I would like to grow as a musician and show that world what I am capable of, but I need something to grow from. Could you guys give me some ideas? Idea Attached are 2 samples of my songs.

welcome party!

just listened to it while drinking some tea, I like it! Very Happy
genre ? forget about genres or make your own.
as for a similar taste/music, well there is a lot of variety in synth music here on the forum off course,
and maybe you will discover what you like best by listening to the radio stream or you can check
the media section for direct links.

also you might want to listen to the Greenscreens and Drummachines shows,
which mostly features music from artist not on this forum.

Nice indeed!

that 1st track reminded me a bit on white noise's concerto for synthesizer - but then with a solo from manfred man .. or something ;-)

Very nice Citizen's Tea!!!

As far as it genres concerns, I have just one simple self developed statement that I use when people ask me what kind of genre I make: I don't care about genres, I just make music.
