I'm wanting to get into modular and MFOS seems best price wise for me. I've made the 16 step sequencer and now want to make some tunes with it, but I don't have an ossiliscope or counter to calibrate the vco. Is an uncalibrated VCO basically a noise maker or is it just a little "out of tune" through the octaves? Are there any ways to get the calibration close without a scope etc?

I V/Octave is no issue with the sequencer... You are good to go.

So if later I want to control it with a keyboard or use it with other instruments I'd need to calibrate it to match the correct pitch?

Yep Smile

The joy of the sequencer is you can set each step to whatever sounds good.
