My turn for an SN-Voice question Smile

I would like to include the mods noted by Scott Stites. In particular, I want to include both the gated mod and the envelope response mod.

I'm using the State Machine PCB....

Scott's schematics for the response mod show the extra pot in series with C18, but it does NOT show where the branch that goes to U4 pin 12 (for envelope out) is connected.

I *believe* it has to go between the pot and the cap, so that it's measuring only the voltage across the cap. So what I think needs to happen is I need to cut both of the traces going away from IC1 pin 8 (one goes to the cap in one direction, the other goes to the Op Amp in the other direction), wire the pin to my switch, wire one side of the pot onto the switch, wire the other side of the pot to the cap AND to the op amp line.... But then using the gated mode also, that's going to leave the Env Out disconnected???

If I leave the op amp connected to pin 8 instead of between the pot and cap, then it's always just going to get a gate, right? Because the voltage drop will be across the pot and I won't see the charge/discharge of the cap?

Would it be best to put the pot *before* the switch? In gated mode that's going to give me up to a 10% or so drop in the output voltage value (depending on the setting of the response pot), but then the envelope out will be connected regardless of which switch position it's in.

I came around to the place where I didn't care and did the mod as shown Smile

Doesn't make a lot of sense to mirror the gate on the output or use the gate to modulate pulse width....
