Hi,

I have been working on music for years. I went through many different software arrangements until I became very interested in granular synthesis and the rich world of experimental music.

I have recently been working with this arrangement:

I have been happily working with this and have generated some interesting material using it. It's basically the sampler with a grain delay effect, a distortion module and a limiter (to cap things off as it can get a little extreme). You can also ad reverb and all sorts of other effects/plugins.

I recently became aware of SuperCollider and was on the one hand EXTREMELY excited at the seemingly limitless possibilities. On the other; a little concerned I might be learning an awful lot to simply reconstruct what I already have in Ableton.

What I am after is this sort of setup:

My question is: Would SC offer me the ability to create something with way more variables than my current setup, or, in your opinion, does my current setup look good to you?

Any comments would be very much appreciated!

Very best regards all,
Adam
