Hi again peeple. Smile
I'm looking at the panel for the CGS synth that I'm building. The CGS75 VCS modules (Lewis, the ex-owner using 2 of them!! )
I can't work out what goes in the diamond shaped holes at the bottom...??
I'm guessing switches (fall and rise x2) but has anyone seen a design like this before??

They're maybe the switches for exp rise and fall which are in the schematic...? Strange panel, two 'trigger in' sockets and no end out, and the exp/lin switch at the top, I guess that connects the output to the input? Also if you make one 'trigger in' the 'end out' then the hole in between them could be the cycle switch? this means there's no room for the LED, but you could put that where I reckon a cycle switch could go?!

Hi BP. I noticed there was no end out... hmmm..

Also, if there are two switches for rise and fall, what are the two holes at the sides of those for?? I thought maybe 2 leds, they are slightly smaller than pot holes or they could be for more switches but that would place four switches together in the diamond configuration. I guess the cycle switch goes in the hole in between the two trig ins like you say and in the 2nd vcs panel space there is no trig in label where there is in the top one so maybe it was a mistake and end out should actually go there... I've got these mods assembled but not wired up yet. I'll do this when I get back 2 London on Wednesday.

Also, the lin/exp switch, how would it be wired??
I see a post here where Macumbista has a lin/exp switch but I'd like to know how it was wired up...

ahh, yes I see, I imagine if you have individual switches for lin/exp RISE and FALL you don't need one for the overall envelope...

Could you ask the person you got the panel from?

On my VCS I have two pots for rise: RISE and RISE RATE and a LIN/EXP switch:

Hi BP. Smile
Nice looking panels!
OK. I've txted Lewis.
He says this:
" There are connections on the boards to link the in & out triggers so the slope repeats turning it into a VCO"

I then ask about the 2 trig ins and he said:
"Pretty sure one's an out and the switch just links them to save cables."

So I guess the trig in with the + beneath must be the End out??

Oh wow thats very nice!! what did u use to make the design?? Shocked
. Ive not got around to wiring yet. That'll have to wait for saturday... I've also to work out how I'm going to attach the CGS91 rails to the panel.
I don't notice anything about lin/exp switches in the schematic though. How is the lin/exp wired??

thanks! i use inkscape, originally as it's free, but now cos i really like using it!

the switches are shown on the left side of the schematic near the cv inputs, having one for each direction is more useful i think, they are labelled eg swf, exp fall...
