My noise cornucopia had a faint hum hidden in it and is driving me nuts. I hummed it into a guitar tuner and it's right at 60hz so pretty obvious where it's coming from. I just don't know how to get rid of it. Do I need to shield it or something?

What kind of power supply are you using? I would suspect that first. Either too much load on it, or insufficient filter caps.
