Oh, and I finished one of these (and sold it within hours), and almost immediately started on another one, and have at least 2 more to build after that. I'm probably going to go blind building these things.

Very nice TTSH!
(closing off those open holes right next to the speakers will help low end response).

Thanks! And yes, didn't have the baffles yet when I took this. I had some nice aluminum ones made by FPE for this one and future ones.

Ok, my new build is not an2600 but nice project that was very fun to make.
Moddified my microKORG looks to more moogish looks, replaced red LEDs to blue LEDs, added LEDs below the keyboards, that went out so cool, enjoy the pics.

wow. that looks good.
nice idea with the LEDs. my novation k-station is currently dismantled, good moment to add this feature. ultrabright won't eat up that much current anyways...

Lovely builds as always Fonik.

To get LFO ranges from the 555 oscillator did you simply add a switchable capacitor across the timing capacitor (C4 in the TH drawings)

Well first started last year as i came across Nicolas Collins DIY book and initially it was supposed to be another source box of signals for my analog gear...

then i became more obsessed with building my own modules, stumbled other fonik's, Ken Stone's, Yves', Rene Schmitz' and a few other DIY sites including this Forum and started to solder and build some of those modules.
I didn't had any modular yet and always thought that could be a pricey investment. As i know myself in person for several years, i know, when i start something i can easily become obsessed with it and would spent all my time and money on this, so i decided that is not a good idea yet as Long as i'm not a millionare...

Thrown today a stripboard out of it whose holes left i think i will fill with 2 of Nicolas LFO's and another of Ken's CV mixers...

On the pics you can see what i filled in so far:
3x Ken's BPF
1x Ken's CV mixer
2x NE555 Timers with variable PW (didn't use that Thing really)
1xcoloured noise (don't know where i got this schematic from)
2x Rene's VCA3
2x AR Env. (source of schematic also forgotten)
1x Foniks VCLFO
1xKen's Steiner Parker VCF
1xFonik's Transistor Ladder VCF (Moog??)
1x Fonik's 770 Korg VCF
1x Rene's Wasp VCF
1x Yves' Wave Shaper
2xThomas' 555 AD/AR Env.
1xEMS VCS Ringmodulator (by Marjan Urekar)
1x internal speaker with amp

the second case is already in work and contains now:
2x 4046 VCO the simple one taken from the Lunetta Forum with a few mods
(saw&square out, glide, sync-thing, CV in)
4x simple 4093 (LFO's)
1x(4x) Or gate with other logical gates to follow... one input of each to be switched off
1x Divider (4024+4060) holes for second one already drilled but ran out of sockets

well have a plenty of modules i want to build too but at the Moment can't decide where to start...

Video link follows soon

meanwhile the Video is uploading i write down what you can hear and see before i forget what i did... hard times when you reach a certain age... Very Happy

the main clock is one of these 4093 lfo's i nthe second case fed into the divider... one clocks my Oberkorn sequencer, 2 Outputs fire Thomas Henry's 555 AD/AR, another output works as cv for the Yusynth Wave shaper...
The Oberkorn Triggers and feeds CV into the MS20 whose raw VCO Signal is directed into the wave shaper whose output feeds the VCS3 Ringmod X Input where the Y Input comes from one of the 4046 VCO's (around the middle you can hear both routed to Y Input via CV Mixer that's when i fiddle a bit on the left of the case where the CV mixer is)... Ringmod out goes to Foniks Transistor Ladder VCF and is controlled by the two Thomas Henry 555 AD/AR envelopes and manually...

no effects used... Sound recorded directly via my mobile phone...

should read:
1x EFM Transistor Ladder VCF (Moog??)
1x EFM 770 Korg VCF

i am just hosting the old EFM (tom gamble) files...

anyways, nice build, wackelpeter! resembles the vostok. looks like an instrument, not just a loose collections of modules.

I got the wood in the back of my truck, got the Tolex, strap handle, feet and cab corners ordered. Hopefully I can get this cabinet banged out next weekend. I'll post a reality pic when it's done to compare with. Wink

yes. a 1uF NP film cap. gives you veeeery long slopes: i stopped measuring after 30min so i think one hour cycle is possible.

Don't think I've posted these here. Fonik's Baby Ten schematic, Eurofied. Yes, the pots are a bugger to control like this, live and learn. I got the drill holes wrong on the panel, so had to mount the PCB backwards. The LED layout was because I really like the look of the Bridechamber panel for the Klee :)This is what the other side looks like --

I also built up a Minimoog filter VCF, using Yve's excellent schematic. I did change it, though, swapping the second CA3046 out for more discrete transistors.

The single turn trimmer for T1 is sensitive as anything when calibrating -- Yves is right on the button when he specifies a 25 turn trimmer. (I used one on the second build, which also has tidier wiring.)

Twisted Evil Twisted Evil Twisted Evil
I finally completed my portable Yusynth. Yves Usson´s site has turned me to an soldering champ Wink

i´m really enthusiastic about the sound of the machine.

if Yves Usson might read this: THANK YOU, YOU OPENED A NEW WORLD TO ME!

before i go out of my mind, here are a few photos. i´m so proud of it (except for the paint, but it´s DIY, isn´t it?)

Wow, great build!
I like the german writing on the panel, although I would have named the multiples "Vervielfältiger". Wink
Anyway, great job!

I think „Durchreicher“, „Übergeber“ (bettor not as it also has a reference to puking) or „Weitergeber“ would be more appropriate for a passive multiple. Wink

And „Schwingungsweite“ for 'Amplitude'. Laughing
