Hi,
I have a little toy keyboard. It has a record/play mode.
Currently I can not do it, but I would like to play it in a sort of loop.
Is there a way to automatically switch on the play button? Trigger it every 1 or 2 seconds...

How can I do?
I dont need CV, an LFO would be great...
I remember that someone here made something similar playing two gift cards through a ring modulator, but I can't find that schematics on my PC...

Thank you in advance for your replies Wink

A quick and dirty suggestion:
You could use something like a 555 based oscillator feeding the base of a transistor whose collector and emitter would be tied to the contacts of said "play" switch. I've done something similar (using optocouplers in lieu of transi) on SK-1s, works like a charm.

Sounds sweet... Thanks!
have you suggestions for a particular type of transistor, or I can use what I have at home?

That's what I usually do.
Mostly as a safety precaution because I often run circuits from a higher voltage then the actually (toy)keyboard uses.
You could also use digital CMOS switches like CD4016/4066 or a mux.

Actually I guess it would work with any transistor. Or one of the CMOS chips PHOBoS mentioned, but transistors are free, aren't they?

oh sorry... I had not noticed the suggestion, optocouplers sound to me something like octopuses !! Wink
