Just figured something out!!!!

I was able to get the usb NI DJ 8 interface to work in win7 64 by

right clicking the editor, going to properties and checking the following:

Run in compatibility for windows2000

Disable windows visual themes

Run this program as an administrator

I was stumped cause 98 mode didnt work neither did xp mode but win2000 seemed to do the trick

Another note

The browser in the app causes a runtime error

the work around is this:

don't use the internal browser to load patches just open the windows folder that the patches are in and first associate the patches to be opened by the nord modular editor.

To do this right click on one of the patches and go to properties then click the change next to opens with and direct it to eh nord modular editor and tick always use this program to open this file type.

To load a patch from then on just double click the patch

another note:

compatibility for xp sp2 seems to work better the midi connection hasn't dropped yet after close to 4 hours of loading patches

midisport 2x2 and 4x4 have given me no trouble on windows 7 (xp mode) and xp, both natively and when running in a VM on a mac.

Windows 8.1 Here, 64 bits, Edirol UM-3ex .. works .. except that after some time (weeks it seems) the driver will stop working .. when I reboot windows it is fine again.

Never tried it on win-7 though, I had Vista before 8.1.

Just got a Nord Modular 1.
Works with Motu Fastlane and Motu Midi Express on Windows 7 64 run in compatibility mode no problems.
Also runs on old PPC G5 tiger 4.11 with no problems except the known bugs of not using control click to delete or rename.
Absolutely love the sound and the different modules.
Seriously evaluating everything else in my studio including my Alesis Andromeda!
Cheers
