Hi,
a friend of mine say to me she want to start built something DIY... almost similar to a Theremin perhaps.
Atari Punk Console would be ok, but it sound very rude...

I found this: 2N5484 FET

Any other suggestions!

or maybe some kind of lunetta with floating inputs and wires or body-contacts attached to them.

lunetta would be fine, maybe too much for a beginner... or better to say two beginner Wink
body-contact... some times ago I try to built a Kraakdoos, but it doesn't work...

Kits are a great start for beginners. All of the parts are there (usually - make sure to check that before buying), PCB is already made, just follow the instructions. You get to practice soldering (a required skill) and you get the fun of using it when it's all finished. Many kits come with a "how it works" section of the documentation. I'm sure there are several theremin kits out there, just google.
