noodling on my box with some delay added... Modules involved: VCA, 2VCO, Steiner VCF, EMS VCF, Slope Detector, 2xVCS, ADSR, 2Mixer, Joystick Controller, LFO as clock & MS20 Keyboard... well it's not V/Oct but when you didn't Play over a few octaves i
But believe me the back ins't as much interesting as the inside...
Hearing my noodle it reminds me a bit on Heldon's Zind in some moments...
ah and by the way... is it normal that on the EMS VCF the volume goes down or lower when it self oscillates? mine does so but as far as i know and in all of my other filters it's the opposite effect and volume cranks up...????
correct or should i dive again into it and look for some Errors?

is the TRACO switcher doing well, or do you have bleed thru of LEDs and logic signals to the VCOs (due to the notoric bad transient response of the switcher)? _________________

they are doing well... but i have to asmit that i'm changing them from 0,5A to 1A for better stability...
they have from product Information already short cut protection but i have soldered some fuses behind them before i'll go to my modules... when i used smaller fuses like say 200mA (that was on the 0,5A i had always a voltage drop across the fuses when they were to small and some LED also turned the voltage down...
have changed all my LEDs to 2mA low current ones and now use 400mA fuses after the 1A PSU and a 0,8A before and now all seem fine... means i didn't noticed any bleedthrough or voltage drops after These changes...
Last time i measured the the current on my currently finished case it was 175mA... that was before the low current LED but also w/o Jerkster, 2x VCS, TGTSH and EMS VCF...
out of interest i should measure that again sometime...
will use the smaller ones for some other circuits i have in my mind...
at least for my purposes they seem to obe kay as in my cases it's also matter of space and they are very compact comparing it to my first self built psu with a huge 1,5 Transformator and countless Outputs (6,8,12 & 2x20V AC Outs) taken from an old Access control System

Not finished, obviously, but so chuffed with this The transformer is juuust in view of that photo, and the IEC socket (with built in fuse and switch) is out of shot. Still needs boxing.
But this has made a HUGE difference! The synth sounds so much crisper and higher quality, now that the +12V rail is not sagging down to 9 or 10 volts!
(Incidentally, the trafo was from Poland, and the heatsinks were from Deutschland... RS has some interesting component sourcing!)

Nice build Alan, a proper PSU isn't as sexy as something that makes an interesting sound, but important nevertheless
Realised I am on the edge of my PSU in my big rack as well, 690TE of eurorack on a single 2x1.5A supply is perhaps a bit much
Started this in late 2013, finally got around to finishing it. I went for the simplest circuits I could find. The vcos, vcf, vcas, and adsr are all from Nicolas Woollaston here on e-m. The dual skewable lfo are mfos. Sample and hold is the YASH from Rene Schmitz. Ring Mod is from Aaron Cram. A/D is from Thomas Henry. Noise source is simple noise source, and sub-osc is a divide-by-n counter... Panel is 12"x6" aluminum from the local hardware store, graphics were simply printed on an overhead transparency and covered with clear contac paper. Ikea Rast rack.

this is borderline for this forum, but thought you may like it.
built this real quick for a girl i know.
(and yes the label is upside down )
made out of a freebie 1GB usb drive i had laying around from a networking event or something like that. random clear tape. super glue. and photo paper + laminator (sanded down to remove glossiness).

Crumar Performer Ensemble
Yup, I know I said no more DIY... But I had to do something with a few ancient TCA350Y delay chips I had.
As Jurgen Haible's Tripple chorus is sadly no longer available, I had a go at recreating the chorus/ensemble and EQ board from a Crumar Performer which used the TCA350.
It's all working, but I just need to sort out the shockingly bad S/N ratio - Hopefully, it's probably just a case of adjusting the I/O levels.
I've modified it to have full control over each chorus block - Off, Slow LFO, Fast LFO, LFO Mix, EQ bypass, preset/manual control of LFO level etc. This helps to recreate other vintage stringer sounds... e.g Elka/Hohner & Roland only used 2 chorus blocks with full modulation, Ken Freeman's MkIV Symphonizer also used two blocks but one used slow mod and one fast with some of the original signal mixed back in.
Unfortunately, the ARP Omni used a different ensemble design - three individual LFO's, two slow, one fast, each feeding one chorus block, so there's no LFO mixing or 3 phase circuitry involved. But it's something I can add later fairly easily
I bought the Waldorf Streichfett a few weeks ago, but was disappointed with the ensemble effect which is very mushy with no "definition". So I'll be using it purely as Top Octave Generator (which it excels at).
Not sure at the moment if I should rebuild everything into a case with a 4/5 octave keyboard.

Ian Fritz's EZ Chaos circuit. Annoyingly, I forgot to mirror the front panel relative to the pots on the PCB.
Here's a detail of how I wired the Rate pot.
I wasn't sure this was working at first until I spent more time. This is VERY sensitive to how you have the controls set, as well as the signal going into Drive.
just a Serge '73 VCF in eurorack format , i could not get the second cv input to work , but it sounds nice anyway , it should say Serge '73 VCF but gimp was just too much for my old pc to spend too much time on it . and here's a demo of it : https://soundcloud.com/r25990127/serge-73-vcf-demo
cheers
