The past couple of weeks I've been working on Synthor, a digital modular synthesizer for the AudioCubes. Synthor will be available as a separate mode in MIDIBridge: Synthor.

You'll be able to assign sound processors and generators to the AudioCubes, as well as patch them together by placing cubes together. By moving cubes further or close to each other, you'll be able to have real time high speed parameter control. Synthor pushes the concept of a modular synthesizer to the next level Smile

Synthor is not ready yet, but I've got a wavetable oscillator, waveshaper, state-variable filter, noise generators, step sequencer, envelope generator, DC level generator and LFOs already built into Synthor.

I made a short video while testing my code. I'd love to hear your feedback on this?

I've done some more work on Synthor, the digital modular synthesizer for AudioCubes this week, and made a demo video of another setup.

To use Synthor, you first need to assign a synthesizer module to every AudioCube (oscillator, step sequencer, LFOs, etc) as well as what other cubes it can modulate. Once you've finished this, you can create a modular synth path by putting cubes next to each other.

I used the following color codes in this video:

- red/orange AudioCubes are wavetable oscillators
- purple AudioCube is a step sequencer
- green AudioCubes are LFOs (frequency and amplitude modulation)
- toggle noise AudioCube (white noise with variable frequency)

In this setup, I've set the wavetable oscillator cubes to do frequency modulation, and the step sequencer and noise cube to do frequency modulation.

I’d love to hear your feedback on this?

I have some updates on Synthor, the digital modular synthesizer for AudioCubes I've been working on.

This week, I added the Noise processor and Reverb. To demonstrate the new features, I created another video with 1 base station cube + 1 fully wireless audiocube.

The Noise processor generates white noise, but with variable frequency and amplitude, which can be controlled using 2 of the 4 AudioCube sensors. The other two are sensors are unused in this demo, but I have some exciting plans to map those to two other parameters of the processor Smile

In the background of the video you can see the green graphs on the laptop which show the distance sensing in real time for the 4 sensors of the AudioCube.

What is really cool about this video is that it clearly shows the sensitivity of the sensors of the AudioCube

I'd love to hear your thought on this...
