Deceased Rock Artists Super Group |
|
|
Please forgive me as I indulge in a little fantasy, a rock super group lineup of deceased artists…
Would it not be amazing to hear at least an albums worth of work from this fantasy lineup:
Jimi Hendrix: lead guitar, vocals, lyrics
Sid Barrett: lyrics, guitar, vocals
John Bonham: drums, percussion
Chris Squire: bass guitar, vocals
David Bowie: lead vocals
Keith Emerson: keyboards, synthesizers
Special Guest Artists:
Stevie Ray Vaughn: guitar, vocals
Rick Wright: keyboards, synthesizers _________________ varice |

Hmm... I'd be tempted to put Malcolm Young in on rhythm guitar duty, except that that's a pretty crowded stage as it is! He isn't deceased, but from what I've heard, his health isn't what it used to be. |

"If you believe in forever, tonight is just a one night stand.
If there's a rock and roll heaven, well you know they've got a hell of a band."
(from a song song written by Alan O'Day and Johnny Stevenson and released by The Righteous Brothers in 1973) _________________ AEJOTZ is pronounced "A-Jotz"

Oh… maybe there should also be a fantasy Zombie Super Group comprised of rock artists who are already dead, but just don’t know it yet…
The most obvious nominee would of course be Keith Richards… _________________ varice |

Dylan died long ago.
And don't forget... "Paul is dead." _________________ AEJOTZ is pronounced "A-Jotz"

Artificial Intelligence promises some interesting things. Sort of like band in a box on steroids. Mix and match these virtual musician or actor. They'll be alive and roaming this land once again. |

Gotta fit Jerry Garcia on guitar in there.
Bernie Worrell is a must for keyboards also.
Backing vocals, add Sandy Denny and Cass Eliot. Perhaps Dusty Springfield as well.
Speedy West on pedal steel. |

Reminds me of a "come as your favorite dead rock star" themed costume party I attended. One guy came as Angus Young. He was relieved when we explained that Bon Scott, not Angus, was deceased.
I went as Jimi Hendrix. I'm a mostly white, part Osage guy. I visited a cosmetics store in a black neighborhood in Saint Louis and two nice black ladies helped me select the proper makeup. They thought the idea was hilarious. At the party one notoriously slow woman asked me if I was really black. _________________ AEJOTZ is pronounced "A-Jotz"
