Basically most of the stuff I build produces a good amount of noise Smile I'm looking for a noise gate with an LED indicator that works well with +-12V. Most of the ones I have found are meant for +9v guitar pedals. Should I adapt one of those for bipolar or can someone recommend one that is already +-12V? I'll be making a eurorack friendly one-sided layout with alpha pots on an edge.

i made a plan for noise gate from Jurgen Haible ,not sure how it's gonna work ,made the pcb ,not stuffed and tested yet ,that diode in the circuit is not common to me i hope i can find , here is the pcb layout , if not this ,there is PAiA Gator .. not sure what voltage it needs

Is this a self-contained noise gate? I thought this "gate sidechain" schematic just produces a control signal for the THAT 2181B VCA?

not sure to say ,i thought it is selfcontained noise gate ,not some envelope follower ,the circuit is a bit complex for me to analise

it says - " Including a Noise Gate in the same box makes sense for another reason ..." ,for me means it's a Noise Gate , i just hope it will work allright with synth levels not to make more atenuators then planned http://jhaible.com/legacy/transient/jh_tran_gate.html

If you look at where the "from Gate Sidechain" signal comes back into the "Transient Designer" circuit, it is mixed into the EC- pin on THAT2181 - it is a gain control signal.

This is a gate but uses an external trigger - not the audio signal level.
