Hay Les, the mike your guest used sounds awesome. I didn't listen to the whole show yet. Did you think to ask what he was using? |

Actually I did not ask him, though he's a man of some means so he buys top quality gear I'd recon.

This show was pretty cool, we had a confusing time getting listeners and host on the same page, so next Tuesday is a make-up show, repeating on the same topic. Listeners will be able to code their own feed-forward neural net especially the coveted XOR solution, but will not yet know how to train the net. That's for next Friday's show. Worth a listen and short at about 1/2 an hour long.

Well Les I must admit the neuro net topic is going over my head like the international space station.
I'm hanging in there trying to grasp it. |

Looks and sounds like a cool project.
I thought about trying 3D printing, pretty sure if I put one more iron in the fire, it's gonna put the fire out. LOL
Should be home in time for your Friday show. |

Thanks for the sounds, Les, I quite enjoyed that! There are some interesting little almost-melodies going on in there.
Would it be possible for you to post a photo of the printed result? About how far did it get in the time we heard?
I also enjoyed PHOBoS' drone version.

Hi James, yes I liked the drone as well, the processing applied to the audio made it all kachugga-kachugga like a big unstoppable machine -what's the word? Juggernaut!
the print was four small gears similar to the one i show in the photo earlier, scroll up! It got about 25 minutes into a one hour print.

Ah, that's what I thought but then I thought I heard you say that finally you were going to print something other than the gear(s). Anyway, my mistake.
I'm tempted to do something with the recording too, but alas, I've got too much on my plate these days, so I doubt I can get around to it.

Oh yes James, you are correct. I just did a different gear print. I printed four smaller gears instead of the one big gear. So you remembered the right thing.
