You can post tracks as attachments to posts.
Click on the "add attachment" button below the message window, find the file you want and add a description, then click "add attachment". It may take a while for the file to upload, wait for the page to reload.
You initially have 20 mb of upload space. If you need more, contact an admin.
Tracks you post on these forums are likely to end up being played on the radio.
Oh, and welcome! _________________ Muied Lumens Sub Forum

Preferred Upload Format and Bitrate? |
|
|
Is there a preferred format type for uploaded tracks? I assume MP3. Is there a preferred or standard bitrate? I use Audacity to process files so there are a few options. Twenty Mb is a small target for the way I normally save my tracks. I only have a few that are short enough.

mp3 is best yeah, format will be converted for radio play to 128 kbps but you can post in a higher bit rate for downloads. The radio can also handle some other stuff, but mp3 works best.
The 20 MB limit can be grown bigger - no problem - its just there to avoid spammers to post huge stuff. Will up it now for you. _________________ Jan

Thanks...and another question I forgot to ask. |
|
|
Thank you. My neglected question...I assume you limit is total for my account, not per track? I also assume there will be some notice when I attempt to exceed. I don't plan to upload everything I have, just a few as an intro.

There is an overall limit which for now I've set to 500 MB for you. Then there is a per track limit of something like 200 MB I think. And .. erm .. I don't know how it would fail actually when it does .. but can always up you more. _________________ Jan
