How would you do this?:

Let's say I have 8 different oscillators. I wanna fade from one to the next using a controller (might be the mod wheel for instance).
On top of that it would be amazing to have the option to not fade between the osc's but mix/blend them together.
Each option itself wouldn't be a too hard task, but both together in one patch seems impossible for me.

Any idea?
Thanks,
L.

I would use 8 digitally controlled potmeters, a rotary encoder and an Arduino to pull this off

http://jhaible.com/legacy/interpolating_scanner_and_scanv/jh_interpolating_scanner_and_scanvib.html

The Interpolating Scanner sounds like the first part of what you're after.

Easiest way to have the second part would be to have a little 8 input mixer (little, he says!) just before the OTAs.

Edit -- don't solder your G2. It probably won't end well.

The Mux8-1X (in the switch group) does this. The X-Fade knob varies from hard switch to smooth cross fade between consecutive inputs.
Patch your mod wheel or whatever to the Ctrl input.

Very sorry, I did not spot that this was the G2 section.

Oh, I missed that. Can you explain to me the difference between fade, mix and blend?

Fade: pretty obvious, I hope. I want to fade from one to the next oscillator so that basically it's just one osc sounding.

Blend: I mean mixing them together (all of them together).

The problem is to find a solution to be flexible in doing both: Having one controller like the mod wheel for the fade-thing while having the encoders at hand to mix all the oscillators together when I want to...

I don't know how to patch that together...

Like using a mixer and a fader?

This patch allows you to choose with a switch. If you were thinking of doing both at the same time, just replace the switch with a two input mixer.

Please excuse me if I still don't understand what you are trying to do.
