Nice work on the case and the modules kevin!
Did you drill all those holes in the rails by hand or did you use the CNC ?
I guess I should post something here too, so here's the latest lunetta
module I built which uses a 4543 binary to 7-segment decoder chip.
more info here

Cheers amigo!

Oh no way! Not by hand! Lol
My trusty CNC done all the leg work whilst I relaxed in the next room.
Sanding all those little joints was less enjoyable.
Groovy case BTW! |

But the power bus behind it appears to be a TipTop Euro distribution board. Are you making custom cables? |

I have modified the TipTop Bus Board. Is without 5V regulator and LEDs.
My PSU provide +/- 15V, +/- 12V and +/- 5V.
With custom cables. |

Hmmz... don't know why the pics are rotated, but anyway: a new midi input /thru module for my modular.
It is customised for my very old Target midi keyboard and my diy arduino based keyboard (which failes the mod and pitch wheels)
So at the bottom are the midi in and midi thru connectors with a gate output which gives a 5 volt signal as long as a key is pressed and a trigger output which gives a short puls when a key is pushed.
Above that is a clock output that gives triggers that may be used for triggering the sequencer or adsr or what have you.
The repitition rate is set by a potmeter and there is also a cv input to change the rate.
The two outputs above this are 8 bit dac outputs representing the velocity, note number and above those are the 12 bit dac outputs representing the position of the mod and pitch wheel. All four outputs are also controlled by a potmeter and a cv input.
I don't have to worry about the 1v per octave dogma since all modules that have to be in tune with the keyboard are midi controlled.

Expansion module for the Nine Sixty -- this should be dead useful.
It takes the Stage Out voltages from the 960 (plus the clock) and uses them to create a handy gate sequencer, slaved to the 960. Merge selects whether it's continuous (Gate Out is high for the entire step), or staccato (trigger at the start of each step.)
The small PCB on the back is because I'm a numpty and forgot to mirror the pin header for the expansion cable. |

Spent some days within the last weeks to start a new little case.
Not really finished so far as i have to build in the 4th VCO and some knobs are still on the way, but will be completed soon as i think.
When completed we have here:
4x ASM01 VCO with a Thomas Henry Expo converter
1x Serge triple wave shaper
1x Yusynth saw animator
3xLFO (from the Yusynth saw animator)
1x BPF from the Mutant Vactrol Filter by Scott Stites
Maybe must have a look at the BPF again as it's resonance is a bit too wild for my taste, even with the clipping diode and higher resistors in the feedback path... Guess it has something to do with my home made vactrols and their resistance specs...
Also have to sort the rats nest of wires at least a little bit.

Synth in a Suitcase! I like it, definitely different to the Eurorack suitcases I've seen before. |

Thanks Alan,
for travelling definitely some advantage compared against handling a whole rack.
Wish i had enough space left to build some little speakers in. _________________ https://soundcloud.com/bastian-j |
