Hi

Just tested my Metalizer and found a few issues as in I cant see the original signal it looks as if its already started to "fold?" if that's the correct term

All components as per the destructions only change is the 27pf caps I only had to hand 22pf

All trannies are matched where needed

Any ideas?????

Did you include the mixing stage? It is just below the metalizer section on the minibrute 05 pdf.

In the minibrute, you can mix in a bit of the original VCO signal, not so with this version.
But it does work then? It just doesn't go from clean to full on metallic?

Yes
exactly that
I will do some work with my scope and see if I can spot some errors /faults
when I get some spare time, and I will order some 27pf caps just to be thorough

Some rather bad quality scope images, if I have the pot half way I can kind of see a sine wave but not a nice looking waveform
Went to Maplin only 1 27pf cap in stock Crying or Very sad Mad Crying or Very sad

Hi

Changed 22pf caps for 27pf and found I had put a 1uf in with the rest at 680 so swapped that out as well
Now sounds really quite nice and shifts my speaker cones for some nice bass stuff
Still don't see the original waveform but what the hell it does sound good

To be honest, I don't think there was anything wrong with it, just that you need a mixing stage on the end to be able to dial in a little bit, rather than folding all the way all the time.
But more bass (as it seems to do) is often good Very Happy (although with distortions, as this is, it often is beneficial to not have too much low end, as it can get muddy).

I still think it is fine, just needs a wet/dry blend control.
