Subject description: looking for help with four operand instruments
Reply with quote  Mark this post and the followings unread

Hi there,

I made a module with an Opl3 music synthesizer chip (YMF262) but it is playing sounds with only two operand instrument files and I would like to have it playing four operand instruments.
What I cant find is a four operand music file and a description of the construction of this file: which part of the file goes to which register at a given instrument.

Is there anybody who could help me out?
My module can be seen at https://youtu.be/-WvVVEAcwWw

thanks!

adlibtracker has 4 operator instrument support "

The song 'surround.fmk' uses 4 operator instruments.
This song is included in the adlibtracker zip file.
You can hear it here too (in mp3) :

After placing that demo on Youtube, I got the next message:
Quote:
Your video "OPL3 instruments on a diy synthesizer, YMF262 controlled by an Arduino", may have content that is owned or licensed by ACUM_CS, but it’s still available on YouTube! In some cases, ads may appear next to it.

If this is your performance of a 3rd party song then you can still make money from this video. Click here to change your monetization settings.

Now, I have made the module myself and the played music is from J.S.Bach, so that is in the public domain.
What this company ACUM-CS is trying to do is, because my youtube acount is suitable to make money with (which I don’t do), that if I don’t dispute this claim from ACUM-CS they will get part of the money that I would earn with that demo.
So I filed a complain, and now wait what will happen....

How do you know that is a legitimate message and not a phishing scam? Hope you didn't click where it said "click here." It sounds very phishy to me!
BTW, nice demo to showcase your module.

Of course MusicMan11712 it is a scam, but not phishing.
I know this because it also says on my Youtube channel that there is a claim from ACUM_CS, and the dirty part of it is that if I do NOTHING than I would loose money to ACUM_CS (if my movies would generate money).
