Hi

Want to add a seperate 5 volt supply for my new Digisound VCDCO
Easy I thought, make the Thomas Henry 5 volt psu and add to my existing Digisound PSU, so I have a nice +5-0 volt one working now off a sperate transformer

The part that has me stumped is do I join the 0 volts together to both these PSUs as when I try to measure the voltage from 0 volts on the Digisound PSU to the 5 volt line on the T Henry PSU I get no voltage readings and vice versa
Or should I buy a bigger transformer and feed the 5 volt side from that to give me the total current I need to power all my modules

Thanks

Just connect the 0 volts (or GND from the TH psu) together.
Or you could add a small circuit to the Digisound PSU that creates the 5 volt.

Hi Grumble

Thats what I thought as well , but would it matter that the 0-5 volt is on a separate transformer to the 15-0-15 transformer ?
