Hey all!

Wanted to introduce myself and post a link to a short demo of the stuff I've built so far. This forum has been a wealth of information and I wanted to say thanks!

https://youtu.be/mmnOCEabkqQ

Just a short demo of the pieces I've built and got successfully working so far:

-4040 Clock divider
-4-bit R/2R ladder
-Baby 10 4017 sequencer
-Synthrotek Chaos NAND w/ CV mod
-Synthrotek Atari Punk Console
-4046 VCO
-Passive mixer
-BleepBox (from David Erik Nelson's book "Junkyard Jamband" https://nostarch.com/jamband) - essentially a "Baby 8" with included 4093)

The output of the mixer is run through one of those cheap,Karaoke reverb boards you can get on Ebay for about $3 US and finally to my DIY LM386 amp.

Not fully understanding everything yet, making lots of mistakes, but having a hell of a lot of fun.

Indeed it is! $0.88 USD at Walmart, easy to drill but sturdy. A hair too thick for 1/8 Jack's, but takes most everything else well.

Plus if I get frustrated, I can scrap what I'm doing and cut up some vegetables.

I joined this forum for the music... the “build” aspect is out of my league but I do admire the DIY spirit and the wide variety of talent here.

Your post in particular has inspired me to pay a little closer attention to the Makers on this forum.

Especially the cutting board! Really brings it home... makes me wonder if the paper towel roll is somehow part of your rig?

Thank you for sharing...
