Not bad at all, that 1st one of the last 2 is a bit strange, which is good actually, for me. _________________ Jan

Always fun with positive reactions =D
About "Strobed Core" which is the 1st one of the 2 last ones,
there are some parts in it that i think is great, but in the big whole
i dont like that track much at all, im even considering reusing the
good parts and remaking them into a new track. =X |

I'm not always in the right mood for all the pure energy coming from your musics, and when you are really productive I can't cope, no way.
But when something new shows up after a while I'm always curious what you came up with & there is always surprise. I'm not into beat music really, this seems to happen with age, but I like your twists quite often, it is like the tracks escape their form.
Romantic music, in a way, I like that. _________________ Jan

Maybe beatless ? I'd be curious how that would sound. _________________ Jan

I understand ;D , right now im listening to Enya (sail away) to get my energy down =D , I know that i mostly make really energetic music,
most people would not get my music at all =X

That whole sentenced touched me right into the heart!
The reason i put the twists there is to not bore myself :X
Romantic music you say? , you want to know something funny?
about 70% of my music is actually made to be romantic and 25%
if philosophical =D , and some 5% is just plain "lets fiddle with the keyboard", like "Strobed Core". =)))

I have made some beatless tracks....but....hmmms....nothing i can consider myself "good" at creating =X, so we will just have to see about that.....hehe.. |

Hah, I was lucky, the first hit on Google on "Enya sail away" was an illegal download :-)
Didn't imediately know what you meant, but now recognize it as something that has been played on the radio (which must have been quite often). There are worse things on radios, far worse.
The boredom thing you mention is something that made me turn away from programs like cubase, and certain synths I owned in the past. Noodling the G2 is my escape now, and wave claying in cool edit.
Bed ti9me now. _________________ Jan

well well
EDIT: Uploaded the final version.
not really much changed, changed equalization
(mostly because i thought the speechsynth was too sharp)
on some places. added subtractive frequency sweep on
the bassslead at the endsection.
Description: |
Orbit around my heart
Well, its kinda "simple beated" but , loads of strings, some harmonic voice synth, and Compressor abusing =X
be warned for the odd rhytms. (switching from 8/4 7/8 and 15/8).

Maybe you're right there :-)
After listening the last six I like the 'modern' stuff best, but when I said beatless before I guess I meant more abstract like stuff.
I know near nothing about breakbeats and IDM & stuff, but have been listening to some lateley, and the funny thing is that although there is lots of drums in int it seems more beatless to me than lets say rock, or average radio pop. Maybe because at times the drums go so fast it's almost tone. And somehow it seems nearer for me to abstract electronic music as it originated around the 1950's than to pop music. _________________ Jan

Oh! |
|
|
=D At first i thought you meant beatless by not having a a beat or
drum at all ;D , but now i think i know what you meen.
When i think of IDM i think of exactly that stuff you mentioned,
especially on the "drums as fast creating a tone" , i just love these kinda noises =D , currently im planning a track that actually plays a melody with the drum sound.... the reason i say 'planning' is because it
needs some arrangements thats not possible with my current
setup of sound tools.
ive actually planned this...since...hmms..2002...but i am too lazy =X
The modern stuff? , you meen the rpg ones? I hope so =D
Because I like them =X |
