Perhaps many of you already know who he was. I just received the above link and learned about him for the first time. Facinating! So ahead of his time. Check out some of his machines.

Raymond Scott has been mentioned here many times.

There is an exclusive RS thread at http://electro-music.com/forum/topic-622.html

Anyways, I guess it most certainly is time for YARST.

Very Happy

Yes he was quite an extraordinary man. When you listen to the Manhattan Project double CD and read the mesmerizing booklet- you realise that all these Warp artists- well they're doing nothing new really.

If you like RS, you should check out the works of Tom Dissevelt, Kid Baltan and Henk Baddings too. Give a listen to this and report back. Yeas I know- it's quite expensive- but it's worth every penny as it will tear your head off :D

PS I am one of the lucky bastards who has an original copy of 'Song of the Second Moon' by Kid Baltan (Dick Raiijmakers) on a 45rpm 7" single!!- It has 'Colonel Bogey' on side b !!!
