Hi CJ!

The NM can do much better than that. Instead of using the vocoder module, you'd be better off using the special vocal filters that has ready made responses for the A,E,I,O,U and Y formants. Using these and e.g. some sequencer modules and a few other things you can make quite advanced speech synthesis patches.

Exactely. The sound preview You posted was not made with vocoder. Check out this tutorial:

2 X-Electric: I know that Monomachine synthesize such sounds itself. I just want to know is it possible to do the same sound using NM vocoder.

I suppose that with some fairly elaborate controll structures you could force the vocoder to do that but that's realy ineficient and frankly too much work. You are much better off either taking the vocal filter or looking up a table of the proper formants and synthesising them on your own.

The vocal filter is closer to what the monomachine probably does anyway.
