PostPosted: Thu Feb 16, 2006 9:53 am    Post subject: A6 Sounddiver Adaptation ? Reply with quote  Mark this post and the followings unread

I just installed Sounddiver 3.0 and it doesn't have an A6 adaptation. There are some later updates to Sounddiver, I think up to 3.0.4 or 3.1. I can't remember if they came before or after the A6 hit the market.

My question is, does anybody know if the latest version of Sounddiver supported the A6 ? If there is an A6 adaptation, do you know where I can download it from ?

Thanks for any info.

If you are using OSX you are out of luck because SoundDiver simply doesn't work (never mind the lack of an adaptation) and Apple is not interested in developing it.

I'm not running OSX. I have Sounddiver on OS9 and Windows. I don't necessary need a later version than 3.0. But if a later version included A6 adaptation files, I would just need those additional files.

It seemed like the A6 came out quite some time before emagic was bought by Apple. But upon spending more time surfing the net, I haven't found an A6 adaptation. I did however find that there is a Sounddiver yahoo group. So I'm going to join that. If anybody knows, they should.

Thanks,

i'm using sounddiver with logic audio gold 5.5.1 under xp - works fine.
there was an update to 3.0.5.2 (win) and a public beta for os x (3.1.0) on the emagic support site which seems to have gone... Shocked
the public beta can be downloaded at: http://download.info.apple.com/Apple_Support_Area/emagic/Legacy_SW/OS%20X%20SW/

that's the place. the a6 adaptation can be found in the files section/sound diver library/mixed library.

I just joined that site and decided to check the files section. Yes, there is a folder that says there's an A6 adaptation, but when I go there, it says the folder is empty. Everything seems just slightly out of reach.

Thanks,

I have just installed SD for OS9 on my Powerbook running OS 10.4.8. I did this because the public beta for SD kept crashing when trying to receive the memory contents of the synth.

So far I have only installed the program and checked that it is working. It is working fine in classic, with no trouble accessing any of the computer's MIDI ports. The adaptation that came with SD 3.0.5 seems to be the same one as the one floating around on the internet (creation date 24/05/2002). I will attach it here in case it is of any use to you.

Thanks fx_xtk. I had pretty much given up on trying to get an A6 adaptation. The link noodulator provided above was a bad link and yielded nothing. On the Sounddiver forum there was an A6 folder, but it was empty. It was always just out of reach to the point where I didn't believe it even existed.
