Live streaming from AHNE - April 29/30 Subject description: Jam session from Deknow's in Boston |
|
|
On April 29th is the Analog Heaven North East ( www.stretta.com/ahne/2006 ) meeting in Leominster, Ma. As has become the tradition, Deknow has organized a jam session for that evening. We are going to try to stream the event starting at 8:00 PM (EDT) (00:00 GMT on April 30). Here is a lineup of some of the players:
Doctor T. (Live Video...won't be broadcast, but will be recorded)
zynthetix (Travis McDermis)
Bob Chidlaw
Mr. Curt
Ray Bartkowech
Howard Moscovitz
Bob Trottier
Ramona Herboldsheimer
Dean Stiglitz
Eric Crawley
Pat Calahan
...and a bunch of other people
There are still some technical problems we are having. There is about a 50% chance we won't be able to solve them, but we'll edit this page with a link to the streams when that becomes available. As usual, when the stream is running, we'll be on the electro-music.com chat room.
This should be a blast if we can get it going. Please stay tuned.
BTW, April 29th is my birthday too.
EDIT - May 2, 2006
Here is a recording of about 90 minutes of the jam session...

...if the webcast does not happen for tech reasons, we will record it and put it up somewhere. if anyone is anywhere nearby (leominster, ma...west of boston, north of worcester), you are more than invited!

Boy, if I had known about this sooner I'd have made definite plans to attend this event since I live pretty close. By the way, what are the technical difficulties you're having with the streaming? I'm a videographer by trade......maybe I could help. _________________ Apple Mac Pro 3.1 2.88 GHz. Intel Xeon Quad

Chat Room? |
|
|
Hi everyone - I've been lurking on this forum for about 6 months now, but was forced to register in order to express my appreciation of this live jam session! It's sounding excellent! I tried to use the chat-room for some live feedback to the players, but I just get a couple of blue boxes and a row of smilies... |

Give it some time.. let the java chat app hang. It seems like the login takes a really long time tonight. _________________ A Charity Pantomime in aid of Paranoid Schizophrenics descended into chaos yesterday when someone shouted, "He's behind you!"

Just time to say thanks to everyone who participated in the AHNE event and the jam session that followed. There were some beautiful synths and a lot of great people. Sorry the chat room wasn't working very well last night. I hope the streaming worked out all right. We had a great time playing.
Zynthetix and I are just about to head back to Allentown.
Hope to post a few pics when I get back. _________________ --Howard

I finally got my pictures up on the site. Too busy to put in captions though - sorry.

That is probably my favorite practice amp. It belongs to Joe Miklojcik. The point is, "always play for real". _________________ --Howard

Great pictures Mosc! I'm sorry I missed this year as I had previously planned engagements and little notice about the event but I'll definitely go next year. I don't have any wild synths like the ones pictured so I'll bring my Nord Lead 2 and micromodular and whatever else if I pick something up between now and then. _________________ Apple Mac Pro 3.1 2.88 GHz.
