need a sub |

looking for a sub in the $100-$200 for a medium sized room. I found this one:
but it's a bit too much money. Everything from yamaha and sony I've heard in that pricerange just goes thud. I'd really prefer something that had pitch. |

Your right. Fantastic price! I have had mine for over a year and it works very nicely! Clean, powerful bass.
I guess it's not that far from the price range afterall. I might have been looking at Behringer's suggested price. Thanks for the clarification.

Yea, I got mine at zzounds and am happy given that price. I can't tell if it's just got two ports or it's a band pass design. Anyone know? _________________ The question is not whether they can talk or reason, but whether they can suffer. -- Jeremy Bentham |

ahhh, santa (who is also chanakuah harry) is listening! if i were you d, i'd go more with the "gee, i love playing with the g2 demo...but it's so frustrating, i can't hear the bass notes with my crappy computer speakers" rather than "guitar hero rules...i want it louder" , as such is the nature of santa

unfortunately my chanakuah harry indulgences died long ago
I tell you one year though I was completely supprised by a copy of the original sim city. I spent many an hour on that gift so I can't say I didn't have a good run... |

my wife picked me up the behringer sub above for my birthday. It's great! Thanks Bill.
Although she is a little pissed it stands about 2 feet tall and nearly as deep. I am finding it about perfect for a mid-large size room though.
EDIT: Oh, and it only has an XLR input for the sub channel (can use XLR pass through for left, right, center). I don't have any clue why a 1 watt low frequency analog signal needs an XLR cable to go the <10 feet between my amp and the sub but whatever. Another $15 for cable/adapters. |

I know cross-language puns are boring, but that post just gave me such a start!
