Hello all,

I am rather sad to report that I have made the decision, finally, to end the program and podcast, Escape From Noise, after a 5+ year run of it. There are a variety of reasons, mostly personal, but I do not wish to get into that. What I would like to do is to give my genuine thanks to all of the independent and unsigned artists, as well as the independent record labels, who contributed to and partnered with Escape From Noise over the last few years.

There will be one last program and podcast, a 6-hour Memorial Day Weekend Final Episode, Saturday, May 26, from 8 PM to 2 AM Eastern US time (5 PM to 11 PM Pacific) that will be a tribute to all of the show's supporters and all-time-best-of program. I will be giving away oodles of CDs and other stuff, so if you've ever listened and you'd like to score some goodies as a last gesture, I invite you to come by.

The final episode will be made available indefinitely as a podcast. Also, the web site will remain active indefinitely as well, as a thank you to all involved, and to act as a pointer to other Internet radio programs that you may wish to try out.

This was not an easy decision for me, but it is ultimately the right one. I'm sorry I could not do more for the many artists and labels that supported me through the years. I wish you all the best of luck in your future endeavors.

Sincerely yours,

David V
