Subject description: A guitar ditty

Was bored yesterday, picked up a guitar. Found some arpeggios and messed around with those a bit. A bit tricky for me, so I practiced on the tune sketch for maybe half an hour before turning on Live to make a recording. There's something about the record button that always makes me underachieve, fumbling with things that didn't cause me any problems at all moments before. After another half-hour I gave up, figuring that this would have to do for the evening.

I was about to close down Live, but I took a few notes on the bass strings along to what I had recorded, and there was a bass part that took the tune in a new direction. After that track after track came naturally on the guitar, and here is what I ended up with maybe half an hour after almost giving up. A catchy/quirky little ditty with a howling guitar melody that I think wants to emulate Mike Oldfield. Added some drum variation and edited out a few bum notes just now when I got back from work.

All guitar parts (including bass) were done on the same guitar through the VG99.

I like this Smile and to me it has a tinge of Tubular Bells...

Snap Sad I could do with some software that turns the recorder on without my knowing...
