Reinforced Subject description: Whole fast, hard trance track! (for expanded G2's only) |
|
|
There was a recent post in the forum about G2 drums which got me experimenting... Needless to say, this song has some drums in it!!
This performance started as something quite different, but I kept changing it until it sounded like it does now... er, obviously. But the point is that it has been quite an aural journey in making this one... it's been fun! It's a pre-planned song (7 and a half minutes or so) that continually loops over, playing the same each time (apart from a little random modulation).
Just a tip... it sounds good loud, so turn up those speakers. Oh, and the main sound doesn't come in for about three minutes, but it's worth the wait! I have included an .mp3 for unexpanders, or anyone else for that matter. Levels have been normalised, but no other processing has taken place.

Ok I have listend to this a couple of times now and am amazed thats it all coming automatically from a little red synth, absolutely fantastic.
I am glad you got the expansion board, keep up the good work.

Hey thanks Andy... I'm pretty glad that I got it too, but when I do 'full track' performances like this one, I usually wish I could add another expansion board to boost the available power once more!
When I create all of the sounds and sequences, I usually find that I have to trade polyphony for number of sounds. Most of my performances only have one slot with maybe two voice polyphony and the rest mono, but at least this one has a fat four voice sound (which means less other sounds).
Still, I think it has a fair balance. Actually, I quite like listening to the drums on their own in this performance... the other sounds kind of hide the lovely modulation on the main snare drum. _________________ Sheridan
