I have a Weird Sound Generator on the bread board and, before I solder it to a board, I'd like to know if anyone has found that the unfiltered volume is extremely loud. Or have I missed a connection somewhere. Any advice? Thanks.

Thanks Crazeydazey.

Your cardboard mock up looks way cool. What program did you use to design the printout? I am looking for something that I can use on my Mac.

I tried adding a 10k pot to my WSG, and now have some control over the volume for the unfiltered output, but 90% of the pot's range is in the danger zone. I am wondering if I should look for a 10k trim pot to hide inside the case. Any thoughts?

cheers Very Happy , I used photoshop, it doesn't look as good close up though so I've redesigned it, also I've built it on stripboard now (it's still a lot louder before the filter), so when it's finished and boxed I will take another picture and some samples and post them..

it's not a bad idea, you can find the volume your happy with and leave it there with a trim I suppose.
I just turn the gain down on the mixer..

If most of the pots travel is too loud, you probably need a log pot. They have an "A" printed on them if they don't actually say "Log".
