I think it'd be a neat idea if someone could design a small logo for this group, so that we can put it on our e-music pages, to direct people to THIS site!

Whatcha think?

Norm

(Moved this from editorials to electro-music.com forum - more appropriate)

Yes, a logo would be nice. You can just take this image.

Posted Image, might have been reduced in size. Click Image to view fullscreen.

and resize it as appropriate.

If someone is handy at graphics design and want's to design a logo, please do.

Thanks in advance...

I'll post a version when I'm in vicinity of my computer (5.5 hours away from it right now...)

I understand that you can't work on a logo when you are 5.5 hours away from your computer, but I'm still impressed that you can post a message on the forum. Laughing

I think it is a patch cord. Thanks for taking a try at this.

I think for a logo, it would be best to be some sort of simple geometric image, in the elctro-music.com blue color, #255293. I'm not sure what other color would go well with the blue. Maybe some electro-yellow color, I could experiment a bit, but maybe someone with a knack for graphics has a good suggestion. Maybe there could be another color too. No more than three colors, because three color printing is the lowest cost printing on CDs. Two would be best, so that the third color could be used as the background. This image could be used to represent electro-music.com where something smaller and more square, or round, in shape is needed.

Any idea what font the e-m.com logo was originally made with?

What about a recommended size? If no specific pixel size can be given, what will this logo be used for? A general idea will help to determine sizing and graphical possibilities.

My guess is no bigger than 100X100 and reduceable to something as small as an emotocon. It might be used as part of a link, or on a label, maybe on a CD, or a shipping label. Maybe also as part of a design for a Tee shirt.

Sudden had some neat monochrome designs for an avatar. Cyx's avatar was pretty cool, the one with the lines forming some kind of geometric type pattern. Do you remember those?

here's a prototype.
It's hard to get this one too much smaller and keep it legible.

I'll tinker some more over the next couple days and see what I can come up with.

This graphic was made in CMYK mode...best for printing...I recommend anyone else to use such when tinkering with this logo idea.
