@bugbrand:
Are you still going to post the etch-it-yourself single sided version?
Please? Wink

...oops! Caught being slow again! ..just been busy in bug-world -- plus moving house in a couple of days. I'll try my best asap!

Question --- would it be good to post a zip with Eagle files or would a jpeg image be better? Eagle would probably be easier for me, but that'd maybe be overly toe-treading on Randaleem's Pro-PCB (which looks mighty fine too!)

Argh, I was going to get this all together last night and then my computer had a total-death attack (..it seemingly hangs together with strings - its that old!)

Computer right now seems to be working again, but who knows... I'll try to get this done asap but, what with moving etc, it may be several days.

Eagle it is, then.

Brett,

You're in. Thank you for the nice words about the layout. It's easy when the circuit is well done. Thomas Henry is a master of the schematic!

Yes, I'll message when they're ready.

Please send your delivery address to my email:
randaleem AT yahoo DOT com.

Thank you for the order and Thank you also to all the previously posted replies!

Hi Randaleem,

Please put me down for 2! VERY cool project! Once I get my breadboard cleared, I am going to test it out!

As a general question: what are the relative merits of a tri vs. sin QVCO?

I have a neat design for a sin unit that I had up temporarily a couple of years ago. Harmonics more than 50 dB down. No pips, no glitches, no slices, no dices ... the core is just a dual OTA-based pair of integrators and a single opamp nonlinearity.

Very Happy

Ian

Bugbrand, any chance you would still post your DIY version of a board here?

I'm beginning to feel a little shaking under my faith for being able to get a board from another source. I may just have to either etch my own or use proto board. Any design help on a board layout would be greatly appreciated!
