I thought I'd try to see if I could use several mice with ChucK, and I could! On the MacBook Pro, at least, unfortunately I didn't get it to work on my XP - possibly I need to install specific drivers for each mouse...

Anyway, it would be great if someone could try this out (maybe it's been done before) - the file sets up two sets of notes that are controlled by two mice (or my preferred input device - trackballs!) One set controls even notes along a major scale, and the other odd notes, i.e. [c, e, g, b, d+1, f+1, a+1] / [d, f, a, c+1, e+1, g+1, b+1] (upwards and downwards through the octaves) - transposed a bit. If you swish one trackball from side to side it sounds a bit like a dull harmonica. Up/down controls volume for each set.

One problem that I hope someone can help me out with is that there is a slight ticking noise when rapidly moving a trackball sidewards. Do any of you know what this is, and how it could be fixed?

If you only have one mouse, you can try it anyway by changing:

1 => int device2; to 0 => int device2;

and commenting out this:

spork ~ handleMouse2();

(I think). You can change to something else than even/odd notes in the harmony_steps arrays at the top, if you want, and of course one could put something more fun than SinOscs in there.

Cheers!

/Stefan
